INSIDE: How to make an easy retro schoolhouse kids craft and game table. Kids colorful ottoman orb seating from Kenwood Furnishings.
Once upon a time, we had a formal dining room. Then we had kids. The room was never used in the same way again.
Instead of having a pretty room sit empty, we transformed this space into a kids zone. Perfect for crafting, lounging, reading and maybe even studying!
The room centers around a thrift store kitchen table turned retro schoolhouse table. Ideal for some concentrated coloring time or competitive Uno games. This DIY kids craft and game table are accented with bright and colorful orb ottoman poufs! Check out how we easily put this table together…

How to Make Easy, Fun Schoolhouse Kids Craft Table
We picked up an old kitchen table, removed its wooden base and replaced it with metal schoolhouse table legs.
The legs were given a coat of fun teal spray paint.
Once dry, the retro schoolhouse legs were secured onto the underside of the kitchen table turned crafts table.
Out with the heavy dining room table, in with a fun kids crafts and games table!

I love this, I wish I had room at home for something like this. My kids, especially my daughter, use a small desk in a corner of our living/dining room and it’s a mess.
