I dropped my kiddos off at school this morning. I did my yoga breathing as I battled the drop-off car line, rambled off my list of daily reminders of “be kind”, “eat your lunch”, “love ya” as the kids jumped out of the car, and took off to have a handful of hours of … quiet.
However, for our awesome school teachers, their day is just starting! Their patience, flexibility, superpower-like abilities to manage 25 kids. Wow!!
Anytime I can gift these special people with any token of appreciation, I’m on it.

How to Make Teacher Appreciation Frame + Free Teacher Poem
This handmade teacher craft took me about 10 minutes to put together. So easy!
Supplies:
- Plain photo frame (I used a 5 x 7″ size)
- School-themed scrapbook paper
- Mod Podge + paint brush
- Craft glue
- Wood pre-painted apple cut out
Easy DIY teacher appreciation week gift
Measure the sides of the photo frame. Cut the scrapbook paper accordingly.
Apply a layer of Mod Podge to each side of the photo frame.
Apply the individual scrapbook strips to each side, overlapping them at the corners.
With the scrapbook strips in place, add a layer of craft glue to one of the frame’s corners.
Apply the pre-painted apple cutout. Let dry.
Insert a photo of your child and their teacher, a note of thanks or a fun appreciative teacher poem, like this one!
Please print out and use for personal use only. Art sized at 5×7″. Female and male versions available for download.
How to clean up the craftiness
Is it a sign of creative (genius) that any crafty project involves a mess to clean up?! My kitchen island becomes my makeshift Craft Room!
I love using the Windex® Vinegar Multi-Surface Cleaner on my granite counter to clean up the glue remnants, paint splatters and just, you know, life with kids. The word “vinegar” always conjures up thoughts of that powerful smell but not in this case. The Windex® Vinegar Multi-Surface Cleaner has a special ammonia-free formula and gives up a fresh, clean scent. I’m eager to try it out on my stainless steel appliances, bathroom countertops and the pint-sized finger prints all over my glass doors.
Before the frame is gifted to your child’s special teacher, clean it with Windex® Original Glass Cleaner. Everyone knows Windex® Original is America’s #1 glass cleaner* that you know will shine every time. With three kids and a one four-legged friend, I have spots and hand prints all over my windows and stainless steel appliances. Because it has Ammonia-D® in its formulation, Windex® Original starts working on fingerprints, dirt, and other messes even before you wipe. Sounds helpful to me!
