Costco's best greenhouse is the Yardistry 8x7 cedar greenhouse: 4.6/5 on 1,033 Costco reviews, at a sale price that's hard to beat for a wood-frame kit. Its bigger sibling, the Yardistry 8x10, rates the same on 615 reviews. The one to think twice about is the Palram Balance 8-ft series (3.4/5 on 550 reviews, Costco's lowest). Costco's big advantages are its satisfaction-guarantee return policy and low bundle prices on large Palram kits. If you want twin-wall panels all round, published wind and snow ratings, or a size Costco doesn't stock, the Palram Mythos and the cedar kits at Eartheasy are the better buys.

"Costco greenhouse" is a big search, and almost everything that ranks for it is a Reddit thread or a forum post about one kit. Here's the whole picture: every greenhouse Costco sells right now, how owners rate each one, what you give up by buying there, and where to look instead. Costco has no affiliate program, so we earn nothing if you buy there. This page only earns if you choose one of the alternatives, and we say so up front.
Our verdicts are based on Costco's own owner ratings (with review counts), manufacturer specs and owner reports. We have not assembled these kits. How we research.
Which greenhouses does Costco sell?
On 2 October 2026 Costco.com listed 15 greenhouses for delivery to a Seattle ZIP, all online-only. Here are the main ones with Costco's own review data:
| Costco greenhouse | Type | Costco rating | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yardistry 8x7 | Cedar, double-wall polycarbonate | 4.6/5 (1,033 reviews) | $800–$1,000 |
| Yardistry 8x10 | Cedar, double-wall polycarbonate | 4.6/5 (615) | $2,000 |
| Palram Balance 8-ft series | Aluminum, hybrid panels | 3.4/5 (550) | $1,000–$2,200 |
| Palram Americana 12x12 + accessory pack | Aluminum, hybrid panels | 128 reviews | $3,000–$4,199 |
| Palram Oasis Hexagonal | Aluminum, hybrid panels | 277 reviews | $1,250–$4,449 |
| Palram Victory Orangery 10x12 | Aluminum, hybrid panels | 55 reviews | $2,300 |
| Palram Triomphe 12x15 | Aluminum, hybrid panels | 2 reviews | $6,000–$9,999 |
| Exaco Royal Victorian (glass) | Aluminum, tempered glass | 4.8/5 (83) | $10,000–$12,000 |
| Exaco Riga Professional | Aluminum, twin-wall | 28 reviews | $6,500–$8,526 |
| Exaco Riga XL | Aluminum, triple-wall | 21 reviews | $14,500–$26,798 |
Price ranges combine Costco and other retailers we checked; the Costco price is often the low end. Costco also lists a HAVN 10x10 Composite AirFrame, a Vego Pacific, a Juwel Biostar and Lettuce Grow units, which aren't in our verified data. The Palram Harmony 6x8 starter kit (4.0/5 on 978 reviews) still has a page but was out of stock. Where Costco showed a star rating we list it; for several Palram listings Costco showed only a review count.
Two things stand out. First, Yardistry dominates: more than 1,600 reviews across two kits, both at 4.6/5. Second, Costco's range is heavy at the top end (Exaco glass, Triomphe, Riga XL) and thin for small, cheap greenhouses now the Harmony is gone.
The Costco greenhouses worth buying (and one to skip)
Yardistry 8x7
This is the greenhouse people mean when they say "the Costco greenhouse". It measures 6.7 x 7.8 ft, with a cedar frame, double-wall polycarbonate windows, 32 in wooden base walls and a heat-sensitive automatic roof vent. Owners rate it 4.6/5 on 1,033 Costco reviews. House Digest's January 2025 roundup of owner feedback calls it "almost entirely positive", with assembly time the main gripe: about two days rather than the 10-12 hours Yardistry quotes. It has no published wind or snow rating, and Yardistry's warranty is 1 year, plus 5 years against rot and decay.
Why it stands out
- Best owner rating on the largest sample of any Costco greenhouse
- Automatic roof vent and 6 ft sidewalls
- Costco's sale price undercuts most wood-frame kits
Watch out for
- No wind or snow rating
- Cedar needs a yearly water-based sealant
- Delivery only; assembly and base are on you

Yardistry 8x10
The same design in 8 x 9.7 ft, with an 8 ft peak. It's the pick if you want room for benches on both sides plus a path. Costco owners rate it 4.6/5 on 615 reviews. It arrives curbside in boxes, so plan the base before delivery. More detail is in our Yardistry greenhouse review.
Why it stands out
- Same strong ratings as the 8x7
- Room for a proper bench layout
Watch out for
- No wind or snow rating
- Big jump in price over the 8x7

Palram Americana 12x12
If you want a large aluminum greenhouse, this is where Costco's buying power shows. The Americana is a barn-style 12x12 with a reinforced aluminum frame, a 4 mm twin-wall roof, clear SnapGlas walls, two roof vents and high double doors. It's rated for 56 mph and 15.4 lb/sq ft with the included anchoring kit. When we checked, Costco's price with a Premium Accessory Pack was well below Eartheasy's price for the greenhouse alone. Owner scores are moderate: 3.9/5 at Walmart (37) and 4.04/5 on Palram's own site (45); Costco showed 128 reviews.
Why it stands out
- Big price advantage at Costco
- 144 sq ft with tall double doors
- Anchoring kit included
Watch out for
- Clear walls: limited winter insulation
- Owner ratings are only average

Palram Balance 8x8
The Balance 8-ft series is Costco's mid-priced aluminum greenhouse, and on paper it's reasonable: twin-wall roof, clear walls, lockable double doors with a 45 in opening, and 56 mph / 15 lb/sq ft ratings. Costco owners are less happy: 3.4/5 on 550 reviews, the lowest of any Costco greenhouse. Palram's own site shows 4.42/5 for the same line, a gap we see across several Palram lines at US retailers. Third-party summaries mention panels coming loose in wind; we couldn't read those sources directly, so treat that as a likely theme, not a verified one. If you buy it, anchor it thoroughly.
Why it stands out
- Wide double doors, 8 ft width
- Published ratings and a 5-year warranty
Watch out for
- Lowest Costco owner score of any greenhouse
- Clear walls hold little heat

Pros and cons of buying a greenhouse at Costco
The advantages
- The return policy. Costco's risk-free 100% satisfaction guarantee covers most products with no set time limit; only categories like electronics and major appliances have a 90-day window. That matters for a greenhouse, where problems like leaks or panel fit may only show up after a season.
- Bundles and sale prices. Several Palram kits come with accessory packs or auto vent kits, and the Yardistry 8x7 carried a sizable autumn discount when we checked.
- Curated range. Costco carries a short list of established brands rather than hundreds of marketplace kits.
The drawbacks
- Returning a freight item is work. Costco collects freight-delivered items the same way they were delivered (curbside, threshold or white glove), and they must be packaged for pickup the way they arrived. Costco says the pickup and refund can take about 3 to 4 weeks. Disassembling and repacking a built greenhouse is a big job.
- Online only, delivery only. You can't see the kit in a warehouse, and delivery is usually curbside, in heavy boxes.
- A limited range. No all-twin-wall Palram (no Mythos or Glory), few small sizes now the Harmony is out of stock, and no hoop houses.
- Thin specs. Costco listings often skip wind and snow ratings. You have to find those on the manufacturer's site.
- Membership required. The price advantage only counts if you're already a member.
Return terms are Costco's general policy as published on its customer-service site in October 2026. Policies change, so check the current terms for your order before buying.
Better alternatives to Costco greenhouses
If Costco's range doesn't fit your climate or yard, these are the kits we'd look at next. They're sold through retailers we may earn a commission from.
Palram Mythos 6x8
Costco doesn't sell the Mythos, and it's the Palram we'd choose for a first greenhouse in a cool climate: 4 mm twin-wall panels on every side (not just the roof), a galvanized steel base, 56 mph / 15.4 lb/sq ft ratings and 4.3/5 on 704 Wayfair reviews. It comes in 6x4 to 6x14, so you can match it to your yard. Anchor it well; one well-known owner write-up describes wind damage until locknuts and bracing were added.
Why it stands out
- Twin-wall all round for heat retention
- Wide choice of lengths
Watch out for
- Small 1'10" x 5'4" door
- Needs a level, anchored base
Full specs

- 6x8 (also 6x4, 6x6, 6x10, 6x12, 6x14)

Outdoor Living Today Cedar 8x8
If the Yardistry appeals but you want a sturdier cedar build, Outdoor Living Today's 8x8 uses Western red cedar with 3.5 in posts and rafters and 6 mm Polygal twin-wall panels (R-value 1.53), plus a roof vent with an automatic opener and two low wall vents. It costs far more than the Yardistry, ships free from Eartheasy, and is described as roughly a two-day DIY build. No floor is included and it isn't returnable once shipped.
Why it stands out
- Heavier cedar framing and thicker twin-wall panels
- Low and high vents for real airflow
Watch out for
- Much pricier than the Yardistry
- Not returnable once shipped
Full specs
- Sizes
- 8x8 (also 8x12)

More options:
- Clear walls on a budget: the Palram Hybrid 6x8 (4.1/5 on 1,061 Wayfair reviews) is the cheaper sibling of the Mythos.
- Heavy snow: the Riverstone MONT 8x8 publishes 65 mph and 24 lb/sq ft and has a 10-year warranty.
- The same Palram garden rooms: Eartheasy sells the Americana, Oasis, Chalet and Triomphe. Costco was cheaper on the Americana and Triomphe when we checked, but Eartheasy carries more sizes, like the 12 ft Oasis.
- Just for spring: a pop-up such as the Eagle Peak 6x4 on Amazon costs a fraction of any Costco kit. See our portable greenhouse roundup.
How to decide: Costco or not?
- Want wood, mild-to-moderate climate? Buy the Yardistry at Costco. It's the best-reviewed kit there.
- Want a big Palram garden room? Compare Costco's bundle with Eartheasy's price for the exact size. Costco often wins on price; Eartheasy wins on choice.
- Cold winters or growing year-round? Look beyond Costco: twin-wall Mythos, Glory or Riverstone. Our Palram line comparison explains which panels suit which climate.
- Exposed, windy site? Avoid the Balance unless you'll anchor and brace it well, and favor kits with published ratings.
Before you order any Costco greenhouse
- Build or prepare the base before the boxes arrive. Our greenhouse foundation guide covers gravel, timber and slab bases.
- Check local permit and setback rules. The Americana (144 sq ft) and Triomphe exceed common exemption sizes.
- Keep the packaging until you're sure, given how freight returns work.
- Budget for ventilation and shade. Most Costco kits have clear walls and get hot fast. See greenhouse fans and vent openers.
Comparing sizes rather than stores? Start with our 8x10 greenhouse guide or wooden and cedar greenhouse kits.
Frequently asked questions
What greenhouse does Costco sell?
In October 2026 Costco.com listed 15 greenhouses, all online only: two Yardistry cedar kits (8x7 and 8x10), several Palram-Canopia lines (Balance, Americana, Oasis, Victory Orangery, Triomphe), Exaco Riga and Royal Victorian glass kits, plus HAVN, Vego, Juwel and Lettuce Grow products.
Is the Costco Yardistry greenhouse worth it?
Owners think so: the 8x7 rates 4.6/5 on 1,033 Costco reviews and the 8x10 4.6/5 on 615. The main complaint is assembly time (about two days rather than the 10-12 hours claimed). It has no published wind or snow rating.
Can you return a greenhouse to Costco?
Costco's satisfaction guarantee covers most products with no fixed time limit (electronics and major appliances have 90 days). Freight-delivered items are collected the same way they were delivered, so you have to repack the parts for pickup, and Costco says the process can take 3 to 4 weeks.
Are Costco greenhouses cheaper?
Sometimes. For the Palram Americana 12x12 and Triomphe, Costco's bundle price was well below Eartheasy's when we checked. For smaller hobby greenhouses Costco has few options under the Yardistry 8x7.
Which Costco greenhouse has the worst reviews?
The Palram-Canopia Balance 8-ft series: 3.4/5 on 550 Costco reviews, the lowest of any Costco greenhouse we checked.
